During the course of daily life, people like to make predictions. Great time is sometimes spent trying to make some of these forecasts come true. We want to control our lives and chart our own destiny. However, at least from my perspective, things never turn out according to plan. One thing leads to anther and suddenly a new course is mapped in front of me . The road of life seems to have its own direction. No matter how much I try to steer the wheel, I still must follow the road.
Such realization does not mean I can't plan or attempt to chart out new directions in my life. However, I must come to terms with the fact that I am ultimately not in control. God has his own unique plan for my life. He is the one who is mapping out the road that I attempt to navigate. I must heed the advice given to me a long time ago. "Do not fear or be afraid of them for the Lord your God goes with you he will never fail you or forsake you" Deut. 31:6. Once I come to terms with who is the real maker of my life's map, the road of my life will be much easier to follow.
